Great learning experience with strong collaborative environment
Tips: There is a proper mix of independent study and team learning at the University of Wuppertal. The library has facilities designed specifically for teamwork, and there are some classes where you get the opportunity to solve your assignments in small teams. Initially, there was a need for adaptation, but I found that easy. Overall, I am quite happy with the University and my course in Germany. Sadly, no scholarship was provided to me, but then there is the DAAD grant and the university scholarship.
Likes (Safety): This is why I rate Wuppertal five stars, as I always felt safe here. There is not just the presence of campus security, but also safe public transportation, streetlights, efficient emergency response services, and generally, safety. All in all, I have never encountered any safety problems while staying in Wuppertal, and I have always felt comfortable there. It is quite safe even to walk in the streets at night.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I have rated it 3 stars because the food items from the country where I belong were available but not sufficient. There were some restaurants for Indian food in and around Wuppertal, and the price of the food was around 13-20 euros per meal. The variety was okay for an occasional visit, but was not really extensive, especially for a South Indian. I would rather prefer cooking food at home since it was cheaper and ingredients could be found easily.

Rigorous and research-oriented courses!
Tips: It's a public university. The courses offered here are tuition-free, and it offers good opportunities through disciplined university-industry research collaboration. Many student research job opportunities during and after graduation, in academia as well as in industry.
Likes (Student Life): A relatively good student life with a vibrant International Students Team! Different social, cultural, and educational events are being organised throughout the semester. Different activities being done weekly. Also, moderately good sports and wellness facilities.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Limited options; however, I prefer cooking on my own! One can buy groceries from most of the countries in town. Cuisines available include Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Italian, French, Persian, Lebanese, Turkish, Syrian, and many more.
