MSc in Cybersecurity - Batch of 2026
Offered by CCT College Dublin
4.1
Focused learning experience in a tech-centric city.
Tips: Students should know that CCT College Dublin is a specialized institution focused on IT, business, and computing. The class sizes are small, which allows for better interaction with faculty. However, students are expected to be self-motivated and manage their workload independent. It's important to stay organized, especially since many modules are assignment-based with fewer exams. The transition was smooth overall, but there were definitely cultural shifts. Irish people are generally friendly and informal, but academic expectations differu2014critical thinking and independent learning are emphasized far more than wrote learning. The work culture is relaxed but punctuality and professionalism are key. I received a partial merit-based scholarship offered by the college at the time of admission. It was granted based on my academic record and Statement of Purpose. I'm fairly satisfied with the course and faculty support at CCT College. The curriculum is industry-relevant, especially for IT-related programs. Dublin is a great city for students safe, multicultural, and with decent post-study opportunities. However, the cost of living is quite high, which can be challenging for students.
Likes (Indian Food):
I gave a 5 because Dublin offers a wide variety of Indian restaurants and grocery stores, making it easy to enjoy home-style meals. From North to South Indian cuisines, everything is available, and quality is usually very good. Types of restaurants and pricing:
There are casual Indian eateries like "Madina Desi Curry Co. " and "Umi Falafel" with meals, and fine dining options like "Pickle" or "Doolally" where a full meal may cost. South Asian grocery stores are also well-stocked and accessible.
While I enjoy trying new restaurants occasionally, I prefer cooking at home for health and cost reasons. It also allows me to prepare authentic dishes just the way I like them.
Dislikes (Post study jobs):
I rated 3 because while there are opportunities for post-study employment in Dublin, securing a job with visa sponsorship can be competitive. Many companies prefer candidates with prior experience. However, sectors like IT, finance, and pharmaceuticals do offer roles to international graduates. Networking and internships during studies can improve job prospects. Companies offering visa sponsorship:
Companies like Google, Microsoft, Accenture, Deloitte, Meta, Amazon, and Pfizer often sponsor work permits, especially in teach and life sciences. However, not all roles in these firms come with sponsorship, so it's important to target specific job postings. Common job roles and salary packages:
Graduate roles in teach (software develops, data analyst), finance (analyst, auditors), and Science (lab assistants, research analyst) are common. Starting salaries generally range from 28,000 to 40,000 per year, depending on the field and role.
