I would say this college is good and there are great faculties with high experience
Tips: Before you step foot into NCI, do yourself a massive favor and get a solid head start on the basics of whatever course you’ve picked—you really don't want to show up completely blank on day one. Also, a major piece of advice: look for your own accommodation outside of the college-run housing. The student residence options are honestly ridiculously expensive and will drain your budget in no time, though obviously, your financial situation and what you're comfortable with is entirely up to you. Just start hunting for a place in Dublin early, because the market is tough, and avoiding those steep campus rent prices makes a massive difference.
Likes (Student Life): I would like to say that there are a lot of co-curricular activities which help you connect with everyone. I felt even the college is main in the city centre. There is no problem with the commutation as well you have a tram stop [Luas] in front of the college
Dislikes (Internships): Actually, I didn't find much that was helpful regarding the internship. There were fewer opportunities, I felt. But if you are in a good book with any of the lecturers, they might help you land a job in college itself as an assistant to the particular professor.

Life at National college of Ireland.
Tips: We can expect a practical, industry-focused environment and diverse students. I adapted quickly despite a small cultural shift. I received a merit scholarship with tuition support. I'm very much satisfied with course, college as well as the life in Ireland.
Likes (Indian Food): There are many Indian restaurants nearby the campus. All those are budget friendly with great food and good ambiance. I would mostly prefer to cook myself because it save money and as I'm a chef it will be easy for me to cook myself. I can get all the groceries in less than 100euros per month.

Gateway to come and stay in ireland
Tips: There will be little nervousness after coming here. Later it will be as usual, like in India, after a few months; for me, I felt nothing bad till now. There will be some default scholarships for every student based on the marks in earlier courses. It's not the best I can say, but overall it's okay to study here and stay in Ireland.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is the best in Dublin City. There are many transportation options to reach anywhere in Ireland from Dublin. There are trains, buses, Luas cycles, etc. Public transportation can be many ways, covering many areas in Dublin's city center to multiple parts.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships are less in number and have a huge competition. It's very better to apply before start of going college as it's takes almost 8-10 months of application process, so when already graduated, they no longer consider for internships. Student must be in college while joining internships.

Great place to learn and network.
Tips: Students can know everything from the college website. If students are looking for budget education, then this college is the right place. If they have money, they can prefer universities otherwise, this college is a great place.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Now it is tough to get placed easily. If you have the right skills, you need to try and work hard for the job in semester 1. In 1G, you need to get placed in a good company and try to get the critical skills visa. Then you can apply for stamp 4.

Diverse environment and good learning experience.
Tips: Students should be prepared for independent learning and active participation. Dublin can be expensive, so plan finance well. The environment is diverse and welcoming and adapting to a new culture and academic style may take time. Overall a positive experience.
Dislikes (Internships): Because while there is support from the college, a lot of the responsibility falls on the students to find opportunities themselves. The career services team shares openings and conducts workshops on CV writing and interviews. Some internships are relevant to the course especially in business, computing and data related fields, but securing one depends heavily on individual effort and networking.

A Supportive, Diverse, and Career-Focused Learning Experience.
Tips: Look, if you’re actually thinking of coming over, just know it’s a really welcoming spot—especially if you're moving from abroad like I did. My first few weeks were honestly way smoother than I'd expected. There was definitely a bit of a culture shock at first, mostly just getting used to how much they expect you to do on your own and even just the way people talk, but it wasn't nearly as scary as I’d feared. The staff are so helpful and everyone is really chill, so I ended up settling in way faster than I thought I would. I checked out the scholarship stuff when I was applying and the uni is actually pretty open about how it all works. Obviously, not everyone gets one, but as long as you keep an eye on the dates, it’s easy enough to figure out. I'm just really glad I made the move. The course feels like it’ll actually be useful for a real job, and Ireland itself is great—it feels safe and the vibe is just super inclusive. If you're ready to just dive in, you’ll have a blast.

National College of Ireland acceptance rate is 50%. This shows that NCI is moderately selective for admissions and international students may find it comparatively tougher to get into.

Before going for the NCI admissions, Indian students should make sure that they have a min of 55% to 70% in previous academics, an IELTS score of 6.0+ to prove English proficiency and a valid passport.

Indian students can apply with a small application fee of EUR 25 (paid online via the portal).

Yes, Indian students have to submit the proof of English language proficiency but not necessarily only IELTS. Indian students need an overall IELTS score of 6.0 with no sub-skills lower than 5.5

For PG courses, the IELTS score requirement is 6.5. Other than IELTS, the tests given below may also be

The choice of which is better out of NCI Ireland and Griffith College Cork depends on academic goals. NCI Dublin is better for students interested in Computing, Data Analytics, and Business programs due to its IFSC location and strong graduate employment outcomes.

Indian students who will need an entry visa for Ireland should apply early for the September intake. The recommended last date for the September intake at NCI is Jul 1, 2026

The processing of an Irish student visa can take a few weeks so to stick with this timeline is absolutely necessary
