There is a lot of practical exposure. We are provided with internships as well.
Tips: I loved studying there. The people are so friendly. They have a lot of people who're originally from India, so it's easy to adjust. I also liked the mix of Indian and French cultures in the area, which was really refreshing. No scholarships are available though, which is a disappointment, but aside from that, I'm very grateful to all the teachers who took an interest in my education. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Safety): Medicine is mainly about clinical postings and theory classes. I enjoyed my hospital postings with batchmates the most. Got up, grabbed some breakfast, headed for a small class, then headed to the college bus, got to the hospital, went for clinical grounds. Then integrated with local, came back to campus, had lunch, followed by 1 theory and 2 practical classes. Student clubs are not active much, but we have basketball, chess, table tennis and badminton, along with cricket, for extra-curricular activities. Research communities thrive here. Got my first ever research published under the Indian journal of cancer, thanks to the guidance of my teachers.
Dislikes (Internships): The faculty were very approachable, kindhearted, and provided detailed explanations. There were also whiteboards, notebook sharing, and PowerPoint presentations for theory. The curriculum involved practical labs, seminars, and hospital visits daily. The students were divided into small groups, and each group had a teacher assigned to them for most practical activities and hospital postings. All postings were at a government hospital in Mauritius, and these facilities had a high patient load. The faculty members communicated either in English or in Hindi, and the majority were from India while the rest were from Mauritius.

The college is so hectic and people are friendly.
Tips: You need to be very academically inclined and sorted. You can not indulge in any unnecessary activities. The teachers are very orthodox but they are also great in their fields. You learn to live with it after a while. It is better to stay off campus because the hostel facilities are subpar.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): It is very friendly to its citizens especially Indians. They are very kind and since Mauritius has a very small population. They are very welcoming towards people. They want you to come and settle in their country for it to prosper and grow more.
Dislikes (Part time work): There were none. The college is so hectic, you need to attend classes from eight AM to four PM. You never get the time to do any part time work. The majority of the country works from nine - ten AM to five PM only, so it is very rare to find suitable jobs. You end up relying on parents for all money.
