Q:   What are the admission requirements to study MBBS in Nepal?

Indian students must meet the general admission requirements listed below to pursue MBBS in Nepal:

  • A medical fitness certificate from a registered clinic or hospital.
  • A minimum of 50 - 60% aggregate marks in the above-mentioned subjects;
  • Senior Secondary Higher Education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology;
  • NEET-UG entrance exam qualification;
  • Must be at least 17 years of age before December end of the admission year; and
  • Valid passport with at least 18 months of validity

Note: Some universities may require the Medical Education Commission Entrance Examination (MECEE) in addition to NEET.

Q:   Can an MBBS from Nepal be valid in India?
A: 

If you go for an MBBS degree from a recognized university in Nepal, it is definitely valid in India. After graduating with an MBBS degree from Nepal you must pass the National Exit test, also known as NEXT to gain a license to practice further, in India. This test is recognized and administered by the National Medical Commission (NMC) which allows students with an abroad medical degree to practice in India. 

Q:   How much NEET score is required for MBBS in Nepal?
A: 

Indian students must obtain at least 50% marks in the NEET-UG exam to obtain a qualifying score and pursue an MBBS degree in Nepal.
