Griffith University Australia Offers International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship
The International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship at Griffith University is for outstanding students in both postgraduate and undergraduate courses. The scholarship covers 25% of the tuition fees.
Study in Australia: Griffith University offers International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship for students applying to undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the university. The students need not apply separately for this scholarship, they automatically get considered for this if they apply for UG or PG courses at the university. It is awarded to the outstanding students.
Once, the international students apply at the university they get assessed for the International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship based on their application and if they get selected, the university will advise them in their Letter of Offer.
International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria for the scholarship:
- The applicant should be an international student and should not be a citizen of New Zealand and Australia.
- The GPA requirements include 5.5 in previous studies or above on a 7-point scale or equivalent.
- They must satisfy all English language entry requirements and academic requirements for their course.
- Must be a full-time student.
“Once you start studying at Griffith the scholarship will be applied prior to the census date of each trimester on meeting the ongoing enrolment requirements (see below). You must pay the remaining balance of fees, based on your enrolment, by census date. To maintain the scholarship deduction you must be enrolled full-time in your program and making progress in your studies that meets your student visa requirements, unless credit prevents full-time enrolment,” reads the statement by Griffith University.
How to apply at Griffith University
For most of the undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the applications are open all year round. The international students need to follow these steps to apply for the university:
Step 1: The applicant must choose a program of their choice as the university offers hundreds of options.
Step 2: Find out the English language requirements and academic requirements for the chosen course. To see the requirements, applicants must check their degree page and read the 'How to Apply' section.
Step 3: If an applicant has relevant work experience or existing formal qualifications, they might be eligible to get credit. If one gets credit, it will reduce the duration of the program.
Step 4: They need to be ready with the required supporting documents which include an academic transcript, English test results, and an official photo identification or current valid passport. If applying for degrees in film, animation, music, games or visual arts, they need to submit a portfolio of work or audition.
