Study In US: Applications Open For 2025 Rising Star Scholarship At Indiana University

The scholarship is open only to international female students. The application deadline is March 3, 2025. The selected candidates will be notified by March 7, 2025.
Indiana University has invited applications for the 2025 Rising Star Scholarship by March 3, 2025. The university offers the Rising Star Scholarship annually to international female students at the International Women's Day Conference. The award is to recognize the potential of young international women.
To apply for this scholarship, the applicants should be non-immigrant, female international students who are a freshman, junior or sophomore at the time of nomination and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The students need to be nominated by the Indiana University staff or faculty member and they cannot apply directly for this scholarship.
"We're looking for a student who is building their future through involvement and engagement at IU and has a deep desire to continuously improve life at IU by engaging in opportunities to help others. Someone who has the emerging potential to do great things, like contributing to society at large, inspiring others, taking on a leadership role, or working behind the scenes to set up others to shine," says the university statement.
Kelley School of Business Gets New Dean - Patrick E. Hopkins
Indiana University has appointed Patrick E. Hopkins as the new dean of the Kelley School of Business. He will take up this new role on March 17, 2025. He has extensive experience in academia and industry and is an accomplished leader in business education.
Pamela Whitten, president of Indiana University commented, “Patrick is taking the helm of one of Indiana University’s most renowned programs. The Kelley School of Business has extraordinary faculty who provide a world-class educational experience for our exceptional students. As dean, I am confident that Dr. Hopkins will navigate the new opportunities in higher education to raise Kelley to new heights.”
Hopkins will oversee both the Indianapolis and Bloomington campuses for academic and administrative operations. His priority will be to strengthen its dual-campus structure and enhance the school’s global impact. He will also deepen the school's connections with industry and alumni.
