Study In US: Apply For 2025-2026 Fulbright Teaching Excellence And Achievement Program

The last date to apply for the 2025-2026 Fulbright Teaching Excellence And Achievement Program is March 7, 2025.
Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State offers the Fulbright Teaching Excellence And Achievement Program to 180 secondary school teachers across 75 countries. This offers teachers a unique opportunity to enhance their teaching skills, develop expertise in their subjects and also increase their knowledge about US.
"The Fulbright TEA program is a six-week non-degree, non-credit academic program at a U.S. University. The international participants will travel to the United States for one of the two six-week professional development programs, either in January 2026 or September 2026. The timing of the program is subject to change, depending on the conditions in the host communities," says the statement of The United States-India Educational Foundation.
Eligibility Requirements For 2025-2026 Fulbright Teaching Excellence And Achievement Program
The following are the eligibility requirements for the program:
- The teacher should live and teach in India
- They should be citizens and residents of India.
- The applicants must have a bachelor's degree.
- Must be a full-time school teacher (6th to 12th grades).
- Have experience of five years of full-time teaching in FTEA teaching disciplines including Mathematics, Special Education, Science, Social Studies, English as a Foreign Language (EFL), and English.
- For English language requirements, they must have a minimum score of 45 on iBT TOEFL or equivalent.
More Details Of Fulbright TEA
It offers general academic seminars focusing on student-centred learning, new teaching methodologies, lesson planning, content-based instruction and instructional technology training for teachers.
"Intensive English language instruction will be offered to teachers who need additional practice. The program will also include a practicum of at least 40 hours with a U.S. partner teacher in a secondary school near the host university to actively engage participants in the U.S. classroom environment. Cultural enrichment, mentoring, and support will be provided to participants throughout the program. The program will provide participants with practical resources they can use in their teaching, as well as skills to train trainers. Up to six teachers from India will participate in this program,” added the statement of The United States-India Educational Foundation.
