University of Bath, Universiti Sains Malaysia Ink MoU To Tackle Real-World Challenges

Study in UK: The University of Bath has renewed its collaboration with the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and reaffirmed its shared commitments.
Study Abroad: The University of Bath and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) have renewed their partnership by signing a new university-wide Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Both partners have reaffirmed shared commitments for sustainable innovation, interdisciplinary education and advancing global research.
"Bath is excited to re-establish this partnership with USM and looks forward to seeing the collaborations that will emerge through working together," says the University of Bath statement.
The latest agreement is built on the collaboration signed earlier for 2016 to 2021, which supported various joint initiatives in areas including cancer research, green construction, water resilience, and public policy.
The new agreement will improve the existing partnership between researchers from both universities in subjects including pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences. It also bridges disciplines, and foster interdisciplinary research between USM’s government-supported Engineering department and Bath’s Faculty of Engineering and Design.
The partnership is all set to address the global challenges in industrial applications, cybersecurity and sustainable technology, leveraging Bath’s expertise in translational research and USM’s regional influence.
"The MoU renewal underscores both universities’ ambition to elevate their international profiles through joint workshops, conferences, and public engagement. In addition to supporting and fostering research collaboration, the MoU provides the opportunity for USM and Bath to explore postgraduate pathways and co-development of programmes that align curricula with regional workforce needs. By renewing this partnership, Bath and USM reaffirm their commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and addressing complex global challenges through shared knowledge and innovation," reads the university statement.
MyBath Student App Soft Launch
The University of Bath announced the soft launch of MyBath. It is a new mobile and web-based student app for streamlining the services offered by the university. MyBath is available on the web, Android, and iOS. It offers one one-stop solution for managing library access, timetables, exam schedules, study space bookings and much more.
The university wants to ensure that the app will function smoothly after its full launch, and hence, from April 28, it has organized a soft launch with a group of psychology students. The soft launch will allow the university to find out and resolve any issues before the full launch of the app.
