University Of Leeds Guarantees Industry Experience For Masters’ Students From 2025

Study in UK: The postgraduate (Masters) program is open to students from diverse subject areas and designed to fit around their field of study.
To raise the bar in postgraduate education, the University of Leeds has launched the guaranteed industry consulting project for student enrolling in every taught postgraduate (Masters) from the academic year 2025/26.
The new project will equip the international students with the global, real world experience, and professional skills which the employer value the most.
Greg Miller, Deputy Director of Student Opportunity, University of Leeds, said, “This is a game-changing initiative for students preparing for global careers. We’ve designed this programme to offer every student—regardless of subject studied, background or prior experience—the opportunity to work on high-impact, real-world projects that strengthen their CV and professional direction.”
“Indian students bring strong analytical and collaborative skills—this programme enhances their employability and professional confidence before they graduate.” added Greg.
Each Student Will Work On Projects In Various Areas
The program will ensure that each student will work in diverse and small teams to tackle the latest industry challenges. The project will allow students to solve real-world problems in areas such as technology innovation, business strategy, social impact, and sustainability. These projects will allow students to collaborate across borders as it is delivered virtually. The industry also finds the project valuable.
“As per the finding from the pilot program, the impact is clear - 91% of students report greater confidence in their ability to contribute to future employers, 87% say they have increased career clarity and awareness, 89% note development of key skills including communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, and 91% gain practical, relevant work experience,” says the university statement.
One of the employers said, “Fantastic, the platform and framework surrounding the programme is absolutely awesome. There is a real feel for the client/consultant relationship here. It also allows students to appreciate working with professionals and understanding the nuances of the professional world.”
The university also offers paid work, internships, start-up and enterprise guidance, leadership programs, careers fairs, mentoring, and employer events throughout the year.
