University Of Strathclyde Announces 850 International Masters Scholarships, Dean’s International Excellence Awards

Study Abroad: The University of Strathclyde has announced Engineering: Glasgow 850 International Masters Scholarships, September 2025 and Dean’s International Excellence Awards. The scholarships were announced to celebrate the 850th anniversary of the city of Glasgow. The application deadline for the scholarships is September 12, 2025.
It is open to all eligible self-funded, postgraduate-taught international (non-EU) fee-paying students joining the University of Strathclyde’s on-campus course in the Faculty of Engineering in September 2025.
The scholarship award value is £5,000, which will be deducted from the tuition fees. The eligible subjects include - Architecture, Aeronautical engineering, Chemical engineering, Biomedical engineering, Civil engineering, Civil & environmental engineering, Electronic & electrical engineering, Engineering, Design manufacture & engineering management, Environmental engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical & aerospace engineering, Naval architecture, Mechanical engineering, Ocean engineering, Naval architecture ocean & marine engineering, Prosthetics & orthotics, Product design, and Renewable energy.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicants should be international (non-EU) fee-paying and self-funded.
- They must be enrolled in a full-time course at the University of Strathclyde’s campus to start in September 2025.
- The scholarships cannot be transferred or deferred to any other entry points.
- The scholarships cannot be provided in combination with other full sponsorship from the embassy and a government office.
- The students must have an offer to study at the university in the full-time postgraduate taught course to start in September 2025.
“The Faculty of Engineering's decision on the awarding of scholarships is final,” says the university statement.
Dean’s International Excellence Awards
The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclyde also offers a limited number of Dean’s International Excellence Awards. The scholarship is worth between £7,000 and £10,000 and is open to the postgraduate taught applicants. It will be offered to exceptional applicants.
“ All eligible students will be considered for the Dean’s Excellence Award and contacted before the deadline of 31 July 2025 if successful. A separate application is not required. Students are required to demonstrate academic excellence (usually a UK first class undergraduate degree or international equivalent) and the potential both to make a significant contribution to the Strathclyde community during their studies and in their chosen profession upon graduation,” added the university statement.
