University of Wollongong India offers InAugural Scholarship!

The scholarship is announced to ease access to international education in India. It also marks the launch of the Australian university in India at the GIFT city in Gujarat.

Study Abroad: The University of Wollongong India (UOW India) has announced the launch of the "InAugural Scholarship” for the November student intake. The scholarship is open to all students and offers significant financial benefits to students of Fintech and Computing programs. The idea is to make global education more accessible to the students in India.

To be eligible for the InAugural Scholarship, one must pay the deposit by October 4, 2024. The scholarship offers a significant reduction in tuition fees including a 50% reduction for all Masters degrees for the 1st Trimester and also a 25% reduction in tuition fees for Graduate Certificate programs for the 1st Trimester.

The scholarship is available for a limited time period and it is being provided to support students while they commence their academic journey at the university.

"Our vision at UOW India is to make top-tier international education accessible to all and the InAugural Scholarship aligns perfectly with our vision,” said Nimay Kalyani, Campus Director, University of Wollongong India.

"Fintech is no longer the future, it is the present. Blockchain systems, cryptocurrency, insurtech, peer-to-peer payments - these are integral to our daily lives. Building a skilled workforce in these areas is vital for driving growth in a country’s economy and this is driving the introduction of the Computing and Fintech courses in our new international campus in India," added Nimay Kalyani.

UOW India to launch new programs in November 2024

The university is all set to introduce a number of graduate and postgraduate programs in November including a Graduate Certificate in Computing, a Master of Computing (Data Analytics), a Master of Financial Technology, a Graduate Certificate in Financial Technology and an extended Master of Financial Technology.

The programs are designed as per the evolving global job market demands and it aims to equip students with the desired expertise and skills to succeed during these demands. To apply for these programs, the students must have an undergraduate degree or relevant work experience, and a satisfactory level of English.
