About Kursk State Medical University
Established in 1935, Kursk State Medical University is a prominent university in Russia offering courses at different levels of study from undergraduate to professional degrees. It is also considered the oldest medical university offering courses in Medical, Dentistry and Pharmacy.
Kursk State Medical University consists of more than 9000 students with students belonging to 50 different countries and 35 regions. Kursk State Medical University History
The Kursk State Medical University located in Kursk Western Russia was established in 1935 by order of the Council of People’s Commissars No 89. The first appointed director of KSMU was physician V.I. Deshevoi. Some buildings belonging to a college were given to KSMU for its main university allocation, these buildings underwent proper reconstruction, equipment, and some other additional construction. The very first graduation ceremony of 186 physicians was held on 30th June 1940.
