The Orenburg State Medical University or OrSMU is a public medical university, established in 1944 in Orenburg City of Russia. The university was initially called Chkalov Medical Institute. Later, in 1994 the university was renamed as Orenburg State Medical University (OrSMU). The university is globally recognized for its practical and innovative approach in the field of Medicine. OrSMU programs for Indian students consist of 1 graduate level program under the major Medicine & Health Sciences (MD (Doctor of Medicine)).
