Avie Bennett Prize in Canadian Literature is aimed at providing support to outstanding students entering or enrolled in the Honours BA in English,Certificate in translation English-French from University of Ottawa in Canada. This award will be awarded to Single candidate. This scholarship can be used primarily towards tuition. University offers the merit-based scholarship which amounts to CAD 500 and offered on a yearly basis.

Eligibility

• The applicant must:
  • be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student;
  • be registered part or full-time in an undergraduate program at the University of Ottawa; and 
  • write an essay written in English on any subject in Canadian literature.

Application Process for this scholarship

• Applicants should provide the graded copy and a clean, unmarked copy of their essay to their Professor or to the Chair of the Department of English.
• The paper must have been submitted for credit in the calendar year before this date and should not have been revised after being graded
