• The awards are available for full time taught master's courses in the Faculties of Engineering and Design, Humanities and Social Sciences and Science and can only be used as fee waivers towards the cost of tuition fees.
• The following courses are excluded from this scheme:
  • MRes courses
  • Integrated undergraduate Master’s courses
  • MArch (Hons) Architecture
  • Degree Apprenticeship Programmes
  • MA Contemporary European Studies (Euromasters) and MA Contemporary European Studies with Transatlantic Track (Euromasters).

Max scholarship per student: Pound 5,000 => Rs 5,80,250

Conversion rate used: 1 Pound = Rs. 118.06 (last updated 26th August 2025)

• The Bath Merit Scholarship is worth £5,000 and is available for overseas fee paying students permanently domiciled in selected countries who have an outstanding academic record.

Eligibility

• To be eligible for the award, applicants must:
  • hold an offer from the University of Bath for a full time, campus based postgraduate taught master's course starting in 2026
  • be permanently domiciled in applicants country and be a graduate or studying their degree at a university in the same country. Applicants must have studied the whole of their degree in the country.
  • have overseas fee status
  • have not previously studied at the University of Bath
  • have a final degree or current grade/GPA equivalent to a UK high 2:2 degree
• No additional scholarship application is required. If applicants meet the eligibility and award criteria the scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee discount.

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.

Not all offer holders will be awarded a Merit Scholarship.
