• Scholarships are renewable with an annual GPA of 10.0 (A- standing).
  • Admission Average: 95-100% so applicant will get $4,000 x four years that is $16,000
  • Admission Average: 90-94.9% so applicant will get $3,000 x four years that is $12,000
  • Admission Average: 85-89.9% so applicant will get $2,000 x four years that is $8,000
  • Admission Average: 80-84.9% so applicant will get $1,000 x four years that is $4,000

Eligibility

• Eligiblity may vary from course to course
• If applicant have been admitted to Carleton with an admission average of 80% or better and meet language requirements, they will automatically be considered for a renewable entrance scholarship.
• The admission average university use is calculated from the marks submitted by applicants high school in support of their application.
• Entrance scholarships are offered for fall entry only.
• Applicant may be offered a renewable entrance scholarship provided they are entering Carleton for the first time and have no previous attendance at post secondary educational institutions (college or university).
• If eligible when admitted to Carleton, the scholarship value will be determined by your admissions average as calculated at the time of admission. Entrance scholarship offers are not assessed or reassessed on final high school grades.
• General English Language Tests:
  • Internet Based (iBT) TOEFL: 86 (22 in writing and speaking, 20 reading and listening)
  • IELTS (Academic): 6.5 IELTS (min 6.0 each band)
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 60 (min 60 in each Communicative Skill)
  • Duolingo English Test (DET): Tests written before July 1, 2024: 120 or above, with no integrated subscore below 95. OR, Tests written on or after July 1, 2024:120 or above, and minimum of 120 in  production plus no other integrated subscore below 95.
