Eligibility

  • Awarded to a student entering First Year in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry with demonstrated financial need.
  • Academic merit may also be considered.
  • Candidates are required to complete a certification with excellent results in the grade 12 prerequisite requirements, with one of the following boards:
    • All India Senior School Certificate awarded by CBSE or
    • Indian School Certificate (awarded by CISCE) or
    • Year 12 State Board Exams with excellent results
  • Candidates may be considered for early admissions based on excellent 10th board examination results, final 11th school grades and predicted class 12 Board results from your school.
  • Following are the prerequisites for the Chemical Engineering program:
    • Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
    • Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U)
    • Chemistry (SCH4U)
    • English (ENG4U)
    • Physics (SPH4U)
  • English Language Proficiency Requirements:
    • Duolingo English Test -  overall score of 120 with a score of 120 in Production. 

    • IELTS Academic - The minimum requirement is an overall band of 6.5, with no band below 6.0. 

    • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic - The minimum requirement is an overall score of 65 with no part below 60. 

    • TOEFL iBT - The minimum requirement is a total score of 89 with 22 in each of Speaking and Writing.

  • English Language Proficiency Waiver :
    • International Baccalaureate (IB) English - The minimum requirement is a score of at least 4 (predicted or final) in Higher or Standard Level English A: Literature or English A: Language and Literature. HL English B is not acceptable

Preference will be given to following candidates:

  • Preference will be given to a female student who has demonstrated interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) related activities.
