Scholarship Overview

Daphne Greaves Scholarship is aimed at providing support to outstanding students entering or enrolled in the BASc in Computer Engineering,BASc in Mechanical Engineering,BASc in Civil Engineering,BASc in Electrical Engineering,BASc in Software Engineering,Honours BSc in Computer Science,Honours Bachelor in Food and Nutrition Sciences from University of Ottawa in Canada. This award can be awarded to Multiple candidates. This scholarship can be used primarily towards tuition. University offers the merit-based scholarship which amounts to CAD 2000 and offered on a yearly basis. As part of the Daphne Greaves Scholarship selection process, applicants would be required to submit the following documents: CV.

Eligibility

• The applicant must:
  • be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student;
  • be admitted into an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Engineering or the Faculty of Science; and
  • demonstrate involvement in the local Caribbean community or, preferably in the Caribbean

• Applications must be made through Online Scholarships and Bursaries, which can be accessed through the uoZone portal, and should include:
  • the Curriculum Vitae on Online Scholarships and Bursaries; and
  • a letter from the applicant (max. 500 words) summarizing their involvement in the Caribbean community.
• In the case of multiple candidates meeting the base requirements, the selection committee will select the recipient based on the award policies and standard criteria used by the Financial Aid and Awards Service at the time of selection
