  • The following programmes are excluded from eligibility for the Early Confirmation Award discount:
    • Undergraduate: Medicine, Dentistry, Agricultural Technology, Theology.
    • ALL Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and non-standard fee courses, including part-time programmes.
    • Postgraduate: PG Certificate and PG Diploma programmes, MTh Theology,
    •   MSc (T) Applied Behaviour Analysis, MSc (T) Autism Spectrum Disorders or MSc (T) Business for Agri-Food and Rural Enterprise.
    • ALL Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and non-standard fee courses, including part-time programmes.
    • External PhD programmes where students only undertake part of their research at Queen’s University.
    • Higher Doctorates - Doctor of Divinity (DD), Doctor of Laws (LLD), Doctor of Letters (DLitt), Doctor of Science (DSc), Doctor of Science (Economics) (DSc (Econ)), Doctor of Science, (Education) (DSc (Ed)) and Doctor of Social Science (DSSc)

  • Students must hold an unconditional offer of a place on a full-time programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus starting in the academic year 2025/26 and pay their net tuition fees in full by the following deadlines:  
    • Undergraduate unconditional offer holders 14 September 2025
    • Postgraduate Taught unconditional offer holders 14 September 2025
    • Postgraduate Research unconditional offer holders before the start date given in their offer letter.
  • Discount is awarded for the first year only of an eligible programme
  • Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI, ROI, EU or GB fees are not eligible for the Early Confirmation Award discount
  • Students must be self-funded i.e. the tuition fees are being paid by yourself or your family at the full international tuition fee rate.

Early Confirmation Award Terms and Conditions:

  1. The Early Confirmation Award discount is exclusively available to new international students beginning a full-time course in the academic year 2025/26. Exclusions apply – see point 10 below.
  2. Students must hold an unconditional offer of a place on a full-time programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus starting in the academic year 2025/26 and pay their net tuition fees* in full by the following deadlines:  
      • Undergraduate unconditional offer holders 14 September 2025**
      • Postgraduate Taught unconditional offer holders 14 September 2025**
      • Postgraduate Research unconditional offer holders before the start date given in their offer letter.
      • Net tuition fees = tuition fees less any scholarship previously notified by International Scholarships and the Early Confirmation Award. For confirmation of the total to be paid contact International Scholarships
      • This is to prevent delays in CAS issuance during the peak period.
  3. Students wishing to avail of the Early Confirmation Award discount must email proof of transfer to International Scholarships. Students who do not confirm their payment to International Scholarships may find their discount is not applied.
  4. The discount is awarded for the first year only of an eligible programme.
  5. The Early Confirmation Award may be used in conjunction with other awards administered by International Scholarships, Global Student Recruitment and may also be used in conjunction with the Brickfield Exceptional Student Scholarship and the MBA Scholarships offered by Queen’s Business School. Please contact International Scholarships for confirmation of eligible awards.
  6. Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI, ROI, EU or GB fees are not eligible for the Early Confirmation Award discount.
  7. Students must be self-funded i.e. the tuition fees are being paid by yourself or your family at the full international tuition fee rate.
  8. Where Queen’s University Belfast has agreed discounted tuition fees with partner institutions, those students should check their eligibility by contacting International Scholarships.              
  9. If you are in receipt of funding (either tuition fees or tuition fees and living costs) from an external sponsorship body such as Government, a charity or a private organisation you will not be eligible for the Early Confirmation Award discount.
  1. Applicants must apply for the scholarship via an online form by 31 May 2025 and will be considered based on academic merit and the quality of their scholarship application.
  2. Students must hold an offer for a place on a full-time LLM programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus, starting in the academic year 2025/26 and prior to commencement of study have met any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter
  3. Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount.
  4. The scholarship cannot be used in lieu of any required deposit and no cash alternative is available.
  5. The GREAT scholarship is for entry to Queen’s University Belfast in the autumn semester of the academic year 2025/26 and cannot be used for 2026/27 entry or any other year.
  6. If you wish to defer your entry to the University your scholarship will not be transferred.
  7. Students must be self-funded.
  8. If offered a scholarship, awardees must accept the award by the date specified in the scholarship offer.
  9. If you are in receipt of funding (either tuition fees or tuition fees and living costs) from an external sponsorship body such as Government, a charity or a private organisation you will not be eligible for this Scholarship. This excludes students in receipt of educational loans.
