  • The total award value is $5,500 over four years of study, with $2,500 awarded upon registration in first year and $1,000 awarded in the second, third and fourth years if the Terms and Conditions of the scholarship are met.
  • This award is renewable for three additional years at $1,000, provided you continue to be enrolled full time and provided outstanding academic performance is maintained (Annual GPA of 3.50 or higher).
  • The renewal will be based on your final grades and you will receive an email notifying you of your renewal eligibility in the following Summer term. Credits earned during Summer sessions and transfer credits are not considered.
  • Payment for admission awards is applied to your student account after your full-time registration and compliance with the Terms and Conditions is confirmed, typically by mid-October.

Eligibility

  • Awarded for general proficiency to students entering the Faculty of Arts and Science.
  • Insofar as is possible, the awards should be distributed among students entering the fields of Mathematics and Science, Languages, and English and History.
  • All India Senior School Certificate awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE); or Indian School Certificate awarded by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE); or Year 12 State Board Exams with excellent results
  • Prerequisite courses should be presented in the 12th year. Applicants may be considered for early admissions based on excellent 10th board examination results, final 11th school grades and predicted grade 12 Board results from their school.
  • Calculus prerequisite: must be presented at Class XII Standard Mathematics for admission consideration. Class XII Applied Mathematics (new and old syllabus) will not meet the Calculus requirement. 
  • Within these admission categories, some programs of study may require additional high school subjects as prerequisites for specific courses in first year or for entry into a specific program in second year.

  • English Language Proficiency Requirements:
    • Duolingo English Test -  overall score of 120 with a score of 120 in Production. 

       

    • IELTS Academic - The minimum requirement is an overall band of 6.5, with no band below 6.0. 

       

    • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic - The minimum requirement is an overall score of 65 with no part below 60.

    • TOEFL iBT - The minimum requirement is a total score of 89 with 22 in each of Speaking and Writing.

  • English Language Proficiency Waiver :
    • International Baccalaureate (IB) English - The minimum requirement is a score of at least 4 (predicted or final) in Higher or Standard Level English A: Literature or English A: Language and Literature. HL English B is not acceptable.
