Eligibility

  • The applicant must:
    • be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student; 
    • be registered as a full-time student in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section of the University of Ottawa; and
    • have achieved the highest standing for a research paper in the course CML3363 - Advanced Family Law or in a directed research course in family law at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section

Application Process for this scholarship

  • The prize is awarded automatically.
  • In case of a tie among several candidates, the average obtained in the compulsory courses for the program of study (rounded to two decimal places) is used to determine the recipient.
  • If there is still a tie, the recipient will be selected by the Common Law Section based on the student's academic record.
