Eligibility

  • To qualify for this scholarship, successful candidates must be:

    • assessed as international for fees purposes
    • self-funded (ie not be receiving funding from any other external sources such as government or employer sponsorship)

    and have:

    • met the conditions outlined in applicant's full-time undergraduate course offer letter
    • have secured a place for full-time study at the University of Galway on an eligible programme starting in September

Application Process for this scholarship

  • Originals or certified copies of school transcripts/examination certificates
  • Two Letters of Recommendation ideally from a teacher and/or guidance counsellor or someone who knows you personally
  • A Personal Statement (typed) of no more than 800 words outlining your academic interests, sporting and/or cultural interests, and your reasons for wanting to study at NUI Galway
  • Applicants may also include aspects of your academic career that are not necessarily reflected in your application (optional)
  • English Language Proficiency Scores
  • A copy of Passport
