  • Applicants will be considered for admission provided they present one of the following certificates:
    • A State Higher Secondary Certificate awarded by a State Board of Higher Secondary Education or;
    • India and Delhi Senior School Certificate awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education or;
    • Indian School Certificate awarded by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations
  • IELTS - 6.5 overall with 6 in each component
  • Applicants may be waived from English Language Proficiency scores if their 3 most recent years of full-time education were taught in a setting where English is the language of instruction for 100% of the time (excluding language courses) either in Canada or in another country

Application Process for this scholarship

  • Official transcripts indicating subjects taught, grades achieved, and language of instruction must be provided by your high school and/or post-secondary institution(s) with unofficial Credential Evaluation
  • Proof of English Proficiency scores
  • For applicants who are currently in progress, please submit:
    • X level exam scores,
    • XI level final mark sheet, and
    • Mid-year or predicated XII results
  • Submit a portfolio (if required)
  • Submit a statement of interest (1-2 pages) to explain their interest in architecture as well as their choice of Laurentian University (Required for Bachelor of Architectural Studies)
  • Submit the name and contact information of 2 references (when possible, at least one from a current teacher) (Required for Bachelor of Architectural Studies)

Additional Information

  • The scholarships are renewable in subsequent years for a maximum of three years or upon graduation whichever comes first, provided that the average remains above 80% (LU GPA = 7.5) and all of the other disbursement and renewal regulations are met
  • To continue the scholarship at the same value, the average in subsequent years must remain above 80% (7.5 GPA) or 90% (9.5 GPA)
  • To renew the scholarship, students must have studied full-time in the previous academic year (30 credits - of which 24 credits must have been taken in the Fall/Winter term) – (the academic year is defined as May to April of each year for scholarship purposes) and attained a minimum average of 80% (GPA = 7.5)
  • Students with a prior degree are not eligible for the Laurentian University International Academic Excellence Scholarships
  • Scholarship payments are processed in October and January
  • Scholarships are limited to students studying in open enrolment undergraduate programs only
