  • The International Undergraduate Excellence Award is designed to support international students who have achieved academic excellence and show passion for their chosen field of study. We're offering scholarships for high-achieving international students, covering £2,500 towards the first year of your full time Bachelor’s tuition fees.

  • £2,500 Tuition Fee Award paid directly to the University towards your tuition fees in your first semester. Please note that you will only receive this award for the first year of your studies. Awardees will be liable for full fees in the subsequent years of their study.
  • This amount cannot go towards the £5,500 deposit payment required to secure your CAS (student visa).

Eligibility

  • Applicants will need to demonstrate academic excellence and have grades that are significantly above the minimum requirement for their course of study.  Applicants should also show a passion for their chosen subject. 
  • If you are interested in studying for a Bachelor's degree (eg a BA, BSc, BEng or LLB) at the University of Westminster, you will need to check that you meet our entry requirements.

  • We have included typical entry requirements below, but these are simply a guideline. Some courses may also have specific subject or grade requirements, which will be listed on individual course pages.

  • For entry into Year 1 of Bachelor's degrees (Level 4), you will typically need to have one of the following:

    • HSC XII: CBSE, ICSE, Kolkata, or Tamil Nadu boards with an overall average of 70% or above*
    • HSC XII: West Bengal board with an overall average of 58% or above*
    • HSC XII: Maharashtra or Gujarat boards with an overall average of 75% or above*
    • HSC XII: All other state boards with an overall average of 80%+ or above*
    • a recognised International Foundation course from a UK institution or an Indian institution following a validated UK syllabus. Entry requirements vary but we normally ask for between 60% and 65%
  • For consideration for entry into Year 2 of Bachelor's degrees (Level 5) you will typically need to have the following:
    • UK Higher National Diploma (HND) with Distinctions and Merits

  • You must be classified as overseas fee status and hold an offer for a full time Bachelors course starting in September 2026.
  • Be an overseas fee-paying student
  • Hold an offer to study a full-time Bachelor’s degree programme Level 4 (first-year entry)
  • Be self-funded (you must be paying for your studies independently rather than being sponsored or in receipt of another scholarship)
  • Applicants in receipt of an International Undergraduate Scholarship will not be eligible for any other Scholarships or discounts.
  • Meet the conditions attached to your academic offer (if it is a conditional offer) and to the issuance of a CAS.
