Jackie Faris-Rees Student Leadership Award is applicable to only Bachelors,Masters only. This is a merit-based scholarship. Jackie Faris-Rees Student Leadership Award award up to USD 2400 each year to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship 1 student each year. All international students irrespective of their countries can apply for a Jackie Faris-Rees Student Leadership Award.

Eligibility

• All CSU, Chico undergraduate & graduate students who have demonstrated significant and outstanding leadership on campus and in community will be considered
• Minimum GPA of 2.0 required

• Nominations may be submitted by current CSU, Chico faculty or staff members. Please complete the information on this form and attach it to a letter of nomination that: 
  • Describes your nominee's outstanding leadership activities. Please be specific, noting events, dates, organizations, the individual's contributions, and how they aided the organization, event or situation.
  • This is not an academic merit award; academic performance may be addressed in your letter, but it is not the primary criterion. Please express why you feel your nominee deserves this acknowledgement.
  • Includes additional materials such as news articles, other letters of support for the nominee, or a list of the nominee's previous accomplishments, if relevant.
