Eligibility

  • Applicants must be one of the following:
    • An Australian citizen , A New Zealand citizen ,Australian permanent resident , Australian humanitarian visa holder and an International student.
  • Commencing full-time in the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree majoring in accounting or finance at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • Selection criteria:

    • Based on academic achievement in accounting or finance units during the final two years of your degree and any prizes awarded to you for academic achievement.
  • Following are the admission requirements that applicants need to fulfill:
    • An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with a major in the chosen honours area of study.
    • A distinction average (70%) or above in four units (24 points) in the relevant discipline units at level three is required.
    • Applicants should have completed the following units in your undergraduate degree:
      • ECC2000 Intermediate microeconomics
      • ECC2010 Intermediate macroeconomics
      • ETC2410 Introductory econometrics
    • Please note applicants from other universities or from other Monash degrees will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
    • English Language Proficiency requirements:
      • IELTS (Academic): 6.5 Overall score, with minimum band scores: Listening 6.0, Reading 6.0, Writing 6.0 and Speaking 6.0
      • Pearson Test of English (Academic): 58 Overall score, with minimum scores: Listening 50, Reading 50, Speaking 50 and Writing 50
      • TOEFL Internet-based test: 79 Overall score, with minimum scores: Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18 and Writing 21
