Scholarship Overview

• This scholarship was established in memory of Nancy Malloy, B.N.Sc., by her friends and classmates from the Kingston General Hospital (class of 1968) and Queen's University (Nursing Science 1969) to commemorate her dedication and enthusiasm to international nursing. Nancy was a medical relief worker for the International Committee of the Red Cross in Chechyna at the time of her death in December 1996.

Eligibility

• This Scholarship is Awarded on the basis of financial need to a full-time upper year student in the B.N.Sc. program or in a graduate program in nursing, who has demonstrated an interest in international nursing.
• If there are no eligible candidates the award may be granted in the following order:
  • (a) to a full-time upper year student in the B.N.Sc. program or in a graduate program in nursing, who has demonstrated an interest in practicing in a remote area of Canada;
  • (b) to a full-time upper year student in the B.N.Sc. program or in a graduate program in nursing.
