Scholarship Overview

  • The PG ICS is an automatic scholarship subject to the conditions set out in these Terms and Conditions
  • The Scholarship is available to full-time, self-funded, overseas fee-paying students enrolling on eligible postgraduate taught programmes at Aston University’s Birmingham campus for the September 2026 intake only.
  • The International Community Scholarship offers a discount to tuition fees to all international applicants who pay their deposit by a specific date.

    •  MSc Physician Associate Practice
    •  All MRes programmes
    •  All MBA programmes
    •  All Research programmes
    • Additional programme exclusions may apply where explicitly stated by the University

  • The Scholarship is awarded as a £4,000 tuition fee discount, applied to the student’s tuition fee account for the first year of study only, and does not create any expectation of continuation, renewal, or replacement funding in subsequent years.
  • An enhanced award of £5,500 applies in place of the standard £4,000 award to eligible applicants enrolling on the following programmes for the September 2026 intake:
    • MSc Business Analytics
    • MSc Pharmaceutical Sciences
    • MSc Finance
    • MSc Supply Chain Management
    • MSc Artificial Intelligence
    • MSc International Business
    • MSc Business and Management
    • MSc Cyber Security
    • MSc Strategic Marketing Management
    • MSc Advanced Computer Science

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for the Postgraduate International Community Scholarship, applicants must be classified as Overseas for tuition fee purposes.
    • Applicants must pay their deposit by a specific date as mentioned in their offer letter. 
    • Applicants must hold an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught programme delivered on campus at Aston University, Birmingham, commencing in September 2026.
    • Applicants must be entering the first year of study of their postgraduate taught programme.
    • Applicants must meet all academic and non-academic conditions stated in their offer letter.
    • The Scholarship is available only to self-funded students. Applicants whose tuition fees are wholly or partially funded by a sponsor are not eligible, unless the sponsor has a formal written agreement with Aston University explicitly confirming eligibility for this Scholarship.

Additional Information

  • Applicants are not eligible for the Postgraduate International Community Scholarship where they are progressing to a postgraduate taught programme at Aston University via a formal progression or articulation agreement for which Aston University operates a separate, dedicated scholarship, fee-discount, or partnership funding arrangement
  • For the avoidance of doubt, any employer contribution, reimbursement, or third-party funding, whether paid directly to the University or reimbursed to the student, will be treated as sponsorship and renders the applicant ineligible.
  • Meeting the eligibility criteria does not create an unconditional entitlement to the Scholarship. The Scholarship is awarded only once all eligibility, offer conditions, deposit payment, and enrolment requirements have been satisfied.
  • Applicants acknowledge that they should not make financial, immigration, or personal decisions in reliance on the expectation of receiving the Scholarship until it has been formally applied following successful enrolment
