Scholarship Overview

SFU CPABC Award in Accounting are awarded by the Simon Fraser University, which supports students in its academics and research pursuits. SFU CPABC Award in Accounting includes a yearly award of up to CAD 2000, which can be used for the purpose of tuition payment only. The scholarship does not include other expenses such as accommodation, living expenses, travel expenses, etc. Simon Fraser University usually looks for candidates with a holistic profile, and not just academic excellence. This scholarship is available to students from all countries. As for the academic eligibility criteria, candidates are expected to have 12th and undergraduate degree that can prove an academically excellent background, .

Eligibility

• The award will be granted annually in any term to undergraduate students who meet the following criteria:
  • are enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's degree program at the Beedie School of Business;
  • have a declared concentration in Accounting;
  • has completed at least 60 SFU units toward the requirements for a degree;- are in good academic standing; and
  • have participated in CPA recruitment activities

Preference will be given to following candidates:

• Preference will be given to students who are pursuing a concentration in Finance, Operations Management, or Management Information Systems

Application Process for this scholarship

• Students will be nominated by the department
• Applications should include:
  • Evidence of participation in CPA recruitment activities; and
  • A statement of interest in pursuing the CPA designation at the CPA Western School of Business
