Scholarship Overview

• There are 3 scholarships available to international students applying to study an undergraduate or a postgraduate master's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. If you are awarded this scholarship, you'll get £5,000 towards your tuition fees in your first year of study.

• Scholarships are available to international students studying chemistry and chemical engineering at either undergraduate or postgraduate master's degree

Scholarship amount details

Max scholarship per student: Pound 5,000 => Rs 6,12,700

Conversion rate used: 1 Pound = Rs. 122.82 (last updated 17th March 2026)

Eligibility

• To get this scholarship you must:

  • apply to study an undergraduate or a postgraduate master's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • receive an unconditional or conditional offer to study
  • not be in receipt of any external scholarship
  • be an international student paying the overseas fee

Application Process for this scholarship

• In the application form, you will need to provide your personal details and the name of the course you will study. You will also need to answer 2 questions:  

  • what are your career aspirations and how do you plan on achieving those goals? (500 words maximum word count)
  • as a Southampton Chemistry International student how might you act as an ambassador for the University? (200 words maximum word count)
• Follow general or course specific document guidelines for other documents requirement.
