History
UNI was founded in 1537. At the time of the establishment, this university was the only French-language Protestant School of Theology. In 1890, the Academy received the university status. Then, in 2003, two new faculties were founded, the Faculty of Biology and Medicine and the Faculty of Geosciences and Environment.
