- Applicants from private schools will only be accepted if the school is licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) in the UAE.
- Students with a UAE General Secondary School Certificate must have achieved a minimum score of 60%, in line with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR).
- Students with Industrial, Applied Technology, Commercial, and Agricultural Secondary School Certificates and with a minimum score of 60% can be admitted to Liwa University programs.
- Applicants from foreign schools that follow systems of education applied in their native countries, which have two levels of secondary school education, must have completed the higher level of secondary education to be admitted
- Minimum average of 70% or its equivalent in the highschool certificate Advanced stream or its equivalent (80% on the General Track, 70% on the Applied and ADNOC certificates, etc.)
- Minimum score of 80% in Math, Physics and one from Biology or Chemistry (Advanced track or its equivalent). Students who do not meet this requirement will be required to register Foundation course(s) in the missing subject area
