Tips: In my opinion, the student should always go through the website thoroughly before even leaving the country. They should know every bit and every detail of the syllabus, not just learn about it, but also how and when they are going to teach. Students should know that the job placement starts in the very first month of you joining it does not work like in India, where you finish your placement or finish your course and then start applying for jobs. You should be well prepared in advance with the date. My Top tip would be to be active on your calendar. Start using your calendar effectively, add everything, sync your calendar with your academic calendar, and life will be easy.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transport is always on time and very close to every location. The wait time is minimal, and it is cheap too. You can travel to any part of this country by public transport at any time of day or night. Student passes are cheaper. BUY THAT RAILCARD.
Dislikes (Value for money): There are plenty of options for scholarships and also multiple ways to get them. There is a lack of information. The university should have portals to help students get to know these before applying. There is no need to hide such information. Students are never aware, and nobody tells you how it works. Be prepared, give yourself a month before you leave the country to land here. Nobody is going to help you, and remember that you cannot attend everything, something will be left behind because there is so much going on. Choose your battles and prioritise events.

Learning, Growing and Everything in Between
Tips: The changeover also went pretty smoothly. There were certainly changes in terms of culture, but I really appreciated having the chance to try new things and meet people from different backgrounds, as well as gaining some freedom. This is a highly enriching experience for me. I am very satisfied with my entire experience here. I've had a wonderful time at Newcastle University.
Likes (Quality of faculty): 1. The faculty of Newcastle Business School was very courteous and helpful to me during the course. They were always willing to help me out with anything concerning the course content or assignments. It was nice how approachable and friendly they were to us, students.
2. One thing that I noticed about the education system in the UK was how much they focus on research and independent thinking. It was important for us to read a lot, ask questions, and base our views on research. This has affected the way that I work a lot since I now start to search and understand the background of anything that I am going to work on.
3. The teachers were also very diverse, coming from different parts of the world, such as the UK and Europe, China, and India. The combination of all these people contributed to a very diverse environment in terms of knowledge, experience, and methods in the classroom.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I rated permanent immigration and settlement options a 3 because the current UK immigration landscape has become more restrictive, with visa requirements and sponsorship limitations making long-term settlement more challenging. While I had a very positive experience in Newcastle. Its regional job market is relatively smaller compared to cities such as London or Manchester, so students looking to build a long-term career may need to consider relating. That said. I don't SEE this as a negative reflection on Newcastle or the university. Ultimately, opportunities also depend on how proactively one builds experience, networks, and approaches the job market. My advice would simply be to understand the visa landscape and employment opportunities early and make informed choices from the beginning. Given the chance, I would genuinely love to move back to the UK and build my career there permanently. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the UK both personally and professionally, and felt very comfortable with the culture, lifestyle, and overall environment. I would be happy to explore opportunities that could allow me to return and establish a long-term career there.

Tips: That course is very basic if the syllabus can be covered online. There's always a cheaper alternative. Being close to the university helps but is expensive on the pocket. It's always better if you come prepared and try to find as many internships, jobs, and whatever that helps your needs.
Likes (Indian Food): In Newcastle, food is available in abundance all around the city. Newcastle has all sorts of street vendors around the city. Along with some posh restaurants down the quay side. The affordability of food is not very high, and a person can dine out easily for around 20-30 pounds.
Dislikes (Internships): For starters internships are really hard to find, and you hardly get any real support from the university, and all the internships that come in are not ideal for the profile you are studying. You have to often travel a lot of distance for events, which ends up not giving any actual results.

Newcastle University - a home away from home
Tips: One thing that students should know about the university is that it is far up north in England. It can get pretty chilly and has comparatively shorter days in winter. So, it can be a couple of dark months. However, that also helps beat the summer heatwaves since it's comparatively colder than down south. Along with that, it's a city very close to the beautiful coast.
Likes (Public transportation): Public Transport abroad can be rather daunting to figure. However, Newcastle is a beautiful city with good connectivity throughout, with buses, the metro and a train station right in the city centre. Under the age of 22, the buses and metro cost 1 pound, which is quite reasonable and makes it really easy to use public transport.
Dislikes (Value for money): Value for money is something I can't comment on as of now. However, in my experience so far, the course is a perfect blend of in-person contact hours and independent study, with loads of practical work as one would need in a course like Computer Science. It is not the most mathematically focused course, so I do believe that is an area the course lacks a bit in.

this university is a home away from home.
Tips: I thoroughly enjoy studying at the university, it's a beautiful and affordable city close to the coast. It can be quite cold up north. The university also provides scholarships, I myself have a 50% scholarship that reduces my tuition halfway. The city and the people are super friendly, and it has a lot of active societies.
Likes (Internships): The university's career portal has a lot of internships and graduate programs on there. Along with that, the university has its own internships, which are basically small businesses and startups partnering with the university and hiring students from the university for internships. There's a bunch of opportunities for every field.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Keeping in mind the present status of the job market as well as that of the visa program, it would be quite difficult to forecast anything about the future. But in light of the present scenario, an individual who works hard and has a sponsor will be eligible for ILR. Also, if an individual sets up his business in line with the guidelines laid down by the government, then he will be eligible for a Tier 1 visa and hence ILR within three years.
