- Applicants must have equivalent to at least a UK 2:1 Honours Degree to be considered for the course. We look for applicants to have completed work experience with people who have speech or communication impairments. This could be shadowing an SLT, volunteering with the Stroke Association or a stammering group, working with autistic children or alongside the elderly who have speech/communication difficulties. There is no specific field which we would prioritise, however, due to the competitive nature of the course we would recommend that applicants try and gain experience in more than one field as this will show that they have a greater understanding of speech and language therapy as a whole.
