- Applicants will hold at least 2:1 degree accredited by British Psychological Society, however, those with 2:2 degrees or who have studied a related subject are also encouraged to apply. The admissions policy of the School is to consider every applicant on their own individual merits therefore prospective students with a lower second class degree and a final year project and/or research methods and statistics grades at a higher level will be considered. This MSc course includes a one-year, post-graduate level module in research methods and statistics that needs to be passed to complete your degree. Applicants who have studied a discipline other than Psychology will be expected to have studied both statistics and research methods as part their undergraduate degree. International applicants will be expected to have achieved an IELTS score of 6.5 with no single component below 6.0. A satisfactory DBS check is not required for entry to the course, however, your placement might necessitate you working with vulnerable groups of individuals, including children. In this instance you may be required to obtain a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance (formerly termed CRB).
