Coming UK was a mistake, instead should have move to European countries
Tips: It was difficult during the first couple of months, as it's hard to get a part-time job. Being an astrophysics student worked in retail, a warehouse, a restaurant, etc. Just earned enough to pay bills as part-time. No scholarship. Not satisfied with the university- when taking admission, they tell big numbers about world-class facilities, lots of jobs, QS ranking, etc. Reality is completely different.
Likes (Value for money): The price of the course is lower for a 2-year degree than at any UK university. UK universities are only good at taking money, but after course completion, getting proper jobs in the field is 2-5%, especially in the STEM field, which is way more difficult. My course fee was 16k u00a3 for 2 years. Technical pay more money at a bigger university; your degree would be worth it, but in the end, you will be competing with people across the globe for a single position, say a PhD.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There's no job in the UK for international students because sponsorship feels too high, and other legal requirements and the competition are too high unless someone is willing to stay here by illegal means. Most students end up going home. No sponsorship, visa issues, international student trade mark, no jobs, people end up working in restaurants, warehouses, delivery drives, etc.

Worthy and awesome experience
Tips: The academic and cultural transition at Hertfordshire was surprisingly smooth for me. The main rule to live by is simply maintaining your attendance—UH takes attendance tracking very seriously to comply with UK immigration requirements, so don't skip classes.
I paid my deposit early and got the Early Bird fee reduction, which gives a nice small discount on your overall tuition. The degree itself and the teaching quality at Herts have been great. However, living in the UK comes with some mixed feelings—the recent government policy changes regarding graduate routes and work rules have made things pretty tough and stressful for international students looking past graduation.

It's good support from faculty regarding exams and assignments.
Tips: Need to choose the program that has scope for further development and whether they have proper jobs or not if they want to settle in this place. Even if they want to go back, also, they need to have a future in the chosen subject. Do more research on the programs; never listen to consultancy people's choices.
Likes (Safety): I don't know about other places; I stay near the university. It's such a safe place even in the midnights. I'm working in a night shift; I'll come by walking from my shift at 2am, so it's completely safe. I never felt scared here, and if you have a good circle of friends, you will have some vibe with them.
Dislikes (Internships): They didn't give much information about the internships, and they asked us to find out about internships, but whereas here, for doing small part-time work, also they need a reference. We can't even get a simple part-time job without a reference, and it's very hard to intern; if we fail to get an internship, we will be moved to the research program from the placement year.

I enjoy so much while studying with different students. I learned so many new things and skills
Tips: You need to manage your studies and part-time job to balance your life. Also you can perform well in interviews so you can get a scholarship as well which is approximately 2000 pounds. And Hatfield is a nice village to live in, and also it's close to Heathrow Airport.
Likes (Safety): Because I never feel unsafe or comfortable here. Everyone is helpful. If you greet and show respect for others, then they are also willing to help you. Also, the university arranges so many functions so you can meet people from different countries and you can make new friends.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): If you got a good job that pays you good money, then by using your skills and experience, you can settle here easily. If you have good skills, then you can easily get a sponsored job, and you can set your life in a good manner and with a positive attitude. That's it.

Best campus, friendly staff, Easy access to other places in campus. Quality faculties.
Tips: Before joining, students should understand course workload, living cost, and independence required. The transition involved adapting to the UK teaching style and multicultural environment. Scholarships may be merit-based with partial fee waivers. Overall, I am satisfied with the university, course, and opportunities in the UK.
Likes (Student Life): I gave student life a 5 because the whole vibe on campus is just really well-balanced. Your days are a mix of grinding through lectures and study sessions, but there's always time to just hang out and reset with friends. Hertfordshire is great at putting things on, too—there’s constantly some sort of cultural event, random workshop, or club meetup happening. It’s super easy to get involved, meet people outside your course, and actually have a proper social life instead of just locking yourself in your room with textbooks all day.
Dislikes (Part time work): On campus part-time jobs in UK universities include library assistants, student ambassadors, research assistants, and campus support roles. Off-campus options include retail, hospitality, tutoring, and delivery jobs. Work is manageable with academics if limited to 15-20 hours/week. Average pay is around £312-315.

Masters by Research Education at Hertfordshire University Highlights
Masters by Research Education
at Hertfordshire University
- A University of Hertfordshire research degree is an internationally recognised degree signifying high levels of achievement in research.
- It develops extensive subject expertise and independent research skills which are honed over an extended period, depending on the level of the award.
- Students would undertake a substantial, original research project for the duration of the degree, under the supervision and guidance of two or more academic members of staff. Student's supervisory team provides guidance both in the selection of a research topic and in the conduct of the research.
- Students are also supported by attendance at postgraduate research development sessions to develop research skills relevant to the field of research.
- The degree is assessed solely on the basis of the final research output, in the form of a substantial written thesis which must be "defended" in a viva.
- During the course of the degree, students would be given opportunities to present their work at major conferences and in refereed research publications.
