University of Nottingham Courses 2026: Popular UG, PG, & Certificate Courses

To study at UON UK for the LLM course, the entry requirements for international students are given below:

• An undergraduate degree of 2:1 or international equivalent in Law, Humanities or Social Science
• IELTS with a score of 6.5 with no less than 6.5 in Reading and Writing, and 6.0 in Speaking and Listening / any other equivalent ELP test scores

The admission requirements for the University of Nottingham are country specific. Entry requirements vary depending on the courses you are applying to. For Indian students, the admission requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate courses are as follows: 

Undergraduate Courses

• CBSE and CISCE Boards: Grades ranging from 84% to 93%. For other boards, check the official website. In other words, to pursue undergraduate courses, the applicants must have a Class 12 qualification

Master's Degree Requirements

• Applicants are required to hold a bachelor's degrees from a recognised university, usually in a relevant subject area. This will be equivalent to at least a 'UK Upper Second Class (2:1 i.e. minimum 60%) or (2:2 i.e. minimum 55%) degree. 

Nottingham’s first civic college was opened in the city centre in 1881, four years after the foundation stone was laid by former Prime Minister, W E Gladstone. It was decided by the city council that the college should be provided with £4,000 per year. After the first world war, the original college building was built. A generous gift of 35 acres of land at Highfields by Sir Jesse Boot in 1928 gave the college its main campus, University Park. Finally, in 1948, the college was awarded the Royal Charter and became The University of Nottingham. It was now able to award degrees in its own name. During this time the School of Agriculture was established with the merger of the Midland College of Agriculture at Sutton Bonington with the university.
