MSc Advanced in Computer Science course of the University of Oxford was earlier known as the MSc in Computer Science. Oxford University requirements for admission to MSc in Advanced Computer Science are given below:

Academic Requirement: A first-class undergraduate degree with honors in Computer Science or Mathematics is required. In other words, the applicants must either of the below-given eligibility:

  • A professional bachelor’s degree (4-years) from a recognised institution with an overall grade of 65% for degrees granted by prestigious institutes (Example: Institutions of National Importance), or 75% for degrees awarded by other institutes; or 3.5 out of 4.0; 5.5 out of 7.0; 6.5 out of 8.0 or 8.5 out of 10.0
  • A standard bachelor’s degree (3 years) from a recognised institute with an overall grade of 70% for degrees awarded by prestigious institutes (Example: Institutions of National Importance), or 75% for degrees awarded by other institutes
  • No GMAT / GRE scores
  • Three references
  • CV / resume
  • English language proficiency: IELTS with 7.5 as a minimum score / TOEFL iBT with 110 as a minimum score
  • Also, it is crucial to have the necessary background to cope with Mathematical notation and basic skills in Computer Programming
