A Valuable Learning Experience, but Professional Job Opportunities Remain Challenging
Tips: My time at the University of Roehampton has been genuinely worthwhile — but I’d tell anyone considering it to go in with their eyes open. Before you even apply, do your homework. Understand the course structure, what the tuition actually costs, what accommodation and daily life in London will run you, and what the visa process looks like. These aren’t small details you can figure out once you arrive — they shape everything. The first few months in the UK are an adjustment. The weather alone takes some getting used to. The food is different, the culture is different, and the way universities here expect you to learn is different. Back home, you’re often told what to know. Here, you’re expected to think independently, work in groups, present your ideas out loud, and engage with material rather than just absorb it. It felt uncomfortable at first. Eventually, it became one of the most useful things about the experience. The MBA in Healthcare Management gave me a solid grounding in things I genuinely use — how healthcare systems operate, how to think strategically, how to lead and problem-solve under pressure. The academic substance is there. Financially, I didn’t receive a scholarship. If I’m being honest, I’d strongly encourage anyone planning this to explore every funding option available before committing. The costs are high, and managing them while also juggling part-time work is its own education in time management and self-reliance. The hardest part, though, has been the job market. A postgraduate degree from a UK university and years of professional experience from India do not automatically open doors here. The market is competitive in a way that can feel deflating, especially when you’ve invested so much to get here. Start networking early — much earlier than feels necessary — and begin applying before you’ve even finished your course. Despite all of it, I don’t regret the decision. The exposure, the growth, the skills — they’re real. Just go in prepared, not

The All I Had With the Time I Had In University Of Roehampton
Tips: In top 10 university in the UK and very approachable from the place I live, it is a very nice campus which includes all the facilities. There are some good lecturers who genuinely care about teaching, but they are working inside a system that, in my view, is unhealthy, chaotic, and broken. Safeguarding, communication, and conduct processes don't actually work in practice. Staff teams do not communicate properly with each other, and communication is constant.
Likes (Value for money): The College was too good, as I got to know through my experience there were great content offerings by the college that was too advanced in our field that targeted the upcoming future market needs and trains us well. Also, the teachers were very good and experienced, they taught us with real-life examples that were easy to connect with and understand, and all teachers were professional. That's why I found this college to be value for money.
Dislikes (Part time work): I Don't think that you would be able to find part time job as an overseas students we have to manage our student life our college work then our personal work to manage food, clothing and all after this not that much time was left but some how people can manage to have part time job as I met some of my classmates that tells also there were college work like assignment, projects and all so that why I would not be able to manage have a part time work as I totally focuses on studies.

Practical learning with supportive faculty- A great experience at Roehampton London
Tips: Roehampton has a peaceful green campus but is still in London. Studies are very practical and independent. Lots of assignments, presentations, and research, not just exams like in India. Apply for accommodation early. Yes, there was a cultural shift. The education system is totally different from India. I got a scholarship of around 4000£ based on my academics.

A good experience overall
Tips: I have not had much cultural shift because the reason might be I always stay with my Indian friends and I explore much here in the UK. I got a scholarship as I applied through a consultancy for 4000 pounds. The university is good with experienced faculty and a lively atmosphere. I have not experienced any racism of any kind. So, overall I had a positive experience with my university.

MBA in Healthcare Management - Batch of 2026

Average university and student life.
Tips: Well, all students over here are Indian, about 90 percent. It's all assignments and group discussion. No stressful teaching and learning. Scholarships are provided and given to all. University is fine. The infrastructure and quality are good but the spark is missing. You don't feel motivated and no one cares about your studies as there are no exams. Only assignments which students create using AI.
Likes (Public transportation): The London Underground is about 2 miles away. There are buses and trains, and public transport is generally average and affordable, though can be hectic. You will need to walk quite a bit, wait at bus stops, and travel, including getting the tube from East Putney. If you live in zones 5 or 6, it can take an hour to get home. The campus has Richmond Park nearby, which is nice, and there are good canteens, career centers, and well-equipped classrooms.
Dislikes (Student Life): Not really a good experience. It's just average. There are multiple events and all kinds of student clubs, with a focus on future career opportunities. However, you will likely have to travel from far away, from zones 6 and 5, as staying in zones 1-2-3 is very expensive, which means a 1-2 hour commute each way.
