- The closing date for applications is the 1st March 2024. Applicants must hold at least a 2:1 degree in Psychology, which confers eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS) or the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). Those with a 2:2 are welcome to apply, but preference will be given to those who have some additional relevant clinical experience to add to their CV. NB: All applicants, regardless of qualifications, are advised to use the space provided in the personal statement/additional information section of the online application process, to discuss any skills and experience that may be relevant to studying the MSc in Applied Psychology, and what they would like to gain from studying on the programme. This information may be used for selection purposes when offering places on the MSc. Applicants interested in pursuing Route 1 on the programme (Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner) will take part in a selection process, based on previous mental health work experience and an interview. This selection process specifically determines entry to Route 1, and does not affect the offer of a place on the MSc. Other Qualifications Only those with a primary degree in Psychology are eligible to apply. However, if you have a degree in another discipline, and feel strongly about making a career change into Psychology, you can apply to the British Psychological Society to undertake a Conversion Course in Psychology, which then gives you eligibility for Chartered Membership in the future. If you have successfully completed a conversion course, or you are currently studying on one, your application for entry to this MSc programme will then be considered.

Ulster has diverse people from every background and the best part is I never felt discriminated.
Tips: This degree is not very intensive so if you don't have business background you can still do wonders. Rest I got an extra fee waiver based on my credentials. There was no cultural shift but the weather was a challenge for me. Belfast is a small city with proper transportation available so you can give it a try if you want to study in a small city.
Likes (Post study jobs): There are less companies in Belfast which provide sponsorship as the city is small but the job opportunities without sponsorship are a lot. The other thing is it is a smaller city so salaries are lower than in big cities like London. If we talk about the big 4 like KPMG, EY, Deloitte etc. They are operating here in Belfast.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are less restaurants where I can find halal food and they are also pricy. Rest there are a lot of Indian restaurants but I think they are a bit pricy. I prefer to cook myself and I get my groceries from Tesco which is an amazing store with cheaper prices. And I eat out once a week so my overall monthly expenses are lower.

Overall good experience and value for money
Tips: No I don't think I have cultural shifted. Unfortunate I didn't avail any scholarships. I am pretty satisfied with this university. Course was very well good. I have gained practical knowledge from our professors and from my classmates as well. In terms of country I would be neutral.
Likes (Value for money): Yes I can say that the fee structure is satisfactory. University offers many courses. If you want to pursue a basic course of 1 year then the feels would be for an instances u00a315k and if want more deep and more research based then they offer an advanced course which is of 2 years and feels would be u00a33-4k more.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are plenty of companies who provide sponsored jobs. But that depends on what course you are in and what is your field. Many jobs are for IT companies. In terms of IT jobs one can get lot of job offers in the role of data analytics and data scientist.
