Embracing growth and diversity at my college.
Tips: I am finding that transitioning to a new place can be quite significant. There are both cultural and academic differences to adjust to. I didn't get any scholarships they are typically awarded based on merit, need or specific criteria. Students often apply through their university or external organizations, with allowances varying widely depending on the scholarship. I think this is a good university and it is worth the investment. I am satisfied with the university, course, and the country.
Likes (Safety): I felt safe on campus because of the small town setting which has a low crime rate and a population of mostly retired people. Apart from campus security, many institutions offer services like emergency alert systems, counselling and mental health resources, safety escorts and well-lit pathways. Some provide self-defence workshops and safety apps. The university security is also a crime deterrent and police patrols are frequent.
Dislikes (Internships): There are a good number of leads for internships, but it can be hard for international students to get one. The guidance available for finding and applying for internships can vary widely by institution and program. Many universities offer dedicated career services that provide resources like resume workshops, interview preparation, and internship listings. Academic advisors or faculty members often have connections in the industry and can provide personalized advice. However, the availability of relevant internships can depend on the demand in your field and the region.
