Decent college if you are ready to bear winters.

Tips: The winters are very harsh in Peoria. The snowfall is very high so if you are coming in winter, make sure to get snow suits from your country. The scholarships are also very less in the college you should be very lucky if you get into this college, as there is very less funding.

Likes (Public transportation): The bus service here is called City Link. It is very affordable at 30 dollars for a bus pass for one month and for students if you don't take a bus pass, the price is only 50 cents. And in September the buses are free.

Dislikes (Student Life): Student life here is very academically focused and the social scene can feel a bit lacking unless you actively seek it out. What I enjoy most is the collaborative environment in my department it's easy to find study groups.

The campus also has a lot of student organizations.

Tips: Bradley is one of the rare universities where it pays off to work hard. The course work is generally easy, but you need to be smart about it. Most of the exams are relatively easy, and an Indian student should be easily able to tackle them. I had 5 scholarships as a graduate student. The research assistantship, the teaching assistantship and the graduate assistantship are some of them. The classes at Bradley are small in size, so you have better opportunities to interact with your professors and approach them for these positions. Also, the more you interact with them, the better as they too are eager to have people who are actually dedicated and serious to work under them. I even have an internship opportunity for the coming summer and was directly recommended by the head of the department. Always interact and have meaningful conversations with your lecturers.

Likes (Student Life): My experience at Bradley has been great so far. My favorite thing to do here is teaching the undergrads and assisting my professors with research. The campus also has a lot of student organizations. For instance, there are general organizations like the football, tennis, anime, archery, and swimming clubs. But there are also organizations for international students, such as the Indian Students Association and the International Student Association. I am president of the International Student Association and a contributor to the Indian Students Association. There are also a lot of on-campus events every week, which keeps things fresh.

Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The green card backlog for Indian citizens is 120-150 years, so good luck getting anything remotely close to permanent residence in your lifetime. It's important to do your research before coming to the US on immigration and settlement. What you might hear from friends or family, or what you find online, might not be what you experience in reality.
