The university also has a mascot named Elbee and used to have another mascot named Prospector Pete until 2018. CSU Long Beach athletics teams compete in NCAA Division I. CSU Long Beach athletic teams include baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Track & Field, Volleyball, and Water Polo.
