- Hold an acceptable post-baccalaureate degree earned at a regionally accredited institution and:
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in all units attempted as an undergraduate, or
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the last 60 semester/90 quarter units attempted from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- Department of Kinesiology requires a GPA of 2.75 in the last 60 units of undergraduate work (with a 3.0 GPA preferred)
- Students with undergraduate degrees in Kinesiology, physical education, athletic training, and other highly related fields, no additional undergraduate coursework shall be required.
- Students with undergraduate degrees in other areas, must have a proof of completion of prerequisite course work in human anatomy, human physiology and statistics, and also must complete 2 of the following 6 undergraduate courses (or their equivalents):
- Historical and Philosophical Bases of Kinesiology
- Socio-psychological Aspects of Physical Activity
- Biomechanics
- Physiology of Exercise
- Motor Learning and Control
- Motor Development
- Students should provide proof of the completion of the prerequisites in their application packets. Applications will not be evaluated until all deficiencies in coursework have been satisfied.
