A very welcoming and energetic campus with diversity.

Tips: It is a very welcoming and energetic campus with people of all sorts, including a ton of diversity. Psych here is heavy with a lot of aspects aside from disorders, and your writing skills will be put to use. Don't hesitate to speak up and express any doubts if there are any. You'll be fine once you find your footing. Also, try to engage during classes and actively participate in events.

Tips: You should know about the Indian ambassy and other helpline numbers who can help in emergency situations. And about other assistance in foreign countries.

Likes (Student Life): Student life over there is good as one can experience lot of things and activities over there and enjoy with friends. It will be a great experience.

Dislikes (Safety): Safety over there is little dissatisfactory for students. As there are many goons roaming in the area after a particular time and sometimes we become the victim of snatching and such problems which seems to be serious.

Vibrant and diverse campus environment.

Tips: The first thing I noticed here was how structured and well thought out some of my courses are. Plenty of diversity on campus and lots of people to learn from as well. Don't take yourself too seriously, or you'll miss out on the fun aspects of college life. You'll also get to meet a lot of inspiring people who come for talks and to give advice.

Very intense and research driven.

Tips: CMU's psychology programs are very research-driven, and the first semester will be dedicated to mastering the foundation, after which you'll see a drastic jump in the difficulty level. My programme includes a lot of aspects of cognitive psychology and neuroscience as well. Great mentorship, and you'll have to be comfortable in states and excel as well.
