- The admissions committee will look at applicant's background holistically, both education and industry.
- If applicant do not have a degree in computer science or other engineering-related field, applicant may still be eligible for the program but it will be important for student to show the committee that have knowledge in some of the foundational disciplines such as data structures and algorithms and discrete math.

- Online Coding Assessment: Invitations will be sent out two days after the application deadline. Applicants have approximately one week to complete the assessment. Great to polish yourself academically.
Tips: Studying here will surely be intense. You will have a heavy work load and you will also feel like you're falling behind. Remember that the process is the same for everyone and there are some helpful campus resources you can always take advantage of. I enjoy classroom discussions and the brand value of studying here is unmatched. Labs are well equipped as well and professors have been very helpful.

Tips: CMU is one of the most diverse and academically demanding universities out there so you should be ready to give your 100% from the very get go. Classes are challenging but they're structured in a way to bring out the best of you and there are plenty of networking opportunities, as well as career fairs and mixers which you should check out. Professors give you a lot of freedom but you will be expected to advocate for yourself and manage your work life balance to the best of your ability. Pittsburgh is quite a lovely city to live in.
