Established in 1969, Florida International University has its main campus in West Miami-Dade, which is the Modesto A. Maidique Campus. It has a 342-acre campus and has a range of recognized schools and colleges, as well as Ocean Bank and Convocation Center, and Riccardo Silva Stadium. • Dining and Retail- Florida International University has more than 35 dining locations across the university campuses, and the students can shop on campus from FIU apparel to course materials. The Office of Business Services at FIU offers a range of services for students on campus.

Some of the academic and honor societies on campus are Alpha Epsilon Delta, Biscayne Bay Campus Science Club, International Business Honor Society, and Society of Professional Journalists.

The Panther Mover is available throughout the working days from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. There is also the facility of the Panther Express bus that runs from Monday - Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., departing every 30 minutes with a final departure at 11 p.m. Lastly, the CATS Shuttle is also an option for commuting to and fro, running on working days between 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Florida International University Athletics

FIU boasts 17 varsity teams competing under NCAA Division I. They are also referred to as the FIU Panthers. The 400 student-athletes have participated in 45 NCAA tournaments and earned 116 All-American honors to date. The university mascot is called Roary the Panther. Moreover, facilities like the R.
