Students need not submit an extra application to apply for the scholarship. All the transcripts including ACT scores are to be submitted to the Office of Admission and Records. LSU - Shreveport offers four different scholarships. These are:
- International Scholarship is limited to 8 semesters of an undergraduate and 4 semesters of graduate or doctoral. Undergraduate students must have ACT score of minimum 24 or high school minimum GPA of 2.0 on a US scale. Undergraduates must be enrolled in a full time program of 12+ hours semesters and Graduates must be enrolled in a full time program of 9+ hours semesters and must maintain a minimum of 2.5 GPA(undergraduate) and 2.75(graduate) respectively.
- International Transfer Scholarship is limited to 6 semesters of an undergraduate and 3 semesters of graduate or doctoral. Students must have earned minimum 15 credit hours(for undergrad) and 9 credit hours(for graduate) along with minimum 2.0 and 2.5 GPA respectively. Undergraduates must be enrolled in 12+ credit hrs and graduates in 9+ credit hrs and maintain a GPA of 2.5 and 2.75 respectively.

Students on a part-time period are eligible for Dependent scholarships. The requirements for the scholarship are as follows:
- Must have F-2 visa.
- Undergraduates must be enrolled in not more than 9+ credit hours and Graduates must be enrolled in not more than 6+ credit hours per semester.
- Undergraduates must maintain a minimum score of 2.5 GPA and 2.75 for graduates.
