Candidates must have achieved a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent institution. A baccalaureate degree is a minimum requirement; therefore, a masters or doctorate level degree awarded in lieu of a baccalaureate degree will meet this requirement. The following undergraduate courses must also be completed:

Anatomy & Physiology I and II: 4 credits each, including applicable labs

General Biology I and II: 4 credits each, including applicable labs

General Chemistry I and II: 4 credits each, including applicable labs

Physics I and II: 4 credits each, including applicable labs

Psychology: 3 credits

Statistics: 3 credits

The academic standard for admission is a 3.0 GPA overall, combined with a 3.0 GPA for science prerequisite courses. All of the above courses must be completed with grades of “C” or above. Please note that a “C-” will not be accepted. All prerequisite courses must be completed before an application in ATCAS is submitted for verification.

Minimum 60 hours of volunteer or work-related athletic training experience. hours must be in minimum of two different settings under the supervision of a Certified Athletic Trainer.

The staff helps you settle down.

Tips: At Marist lot of Indian students are currently studying and they all are doing great here. Marist treats International students very well starting from creating groups on WhatsApp and providing rides from airports, accommodation and so on. Marist itself provides scholarships with admission. Personally, I always feel Marist as a home because people in the Hudson Valley are really good they treat everyone whole heartedly so I like it here.

In the Athletic Training program at Marist, we believe that a strong clinical field experience is essential to career preparedness.
That is why you’ll complete nine clinical rotations including four consecutive five-week fully immersive rotations that will maximize student exposure to clinical practice under the supervision of experienced, certified and licensed health care providers.
With a variety of high schools, colleges, and sport and physical therapy centers, as well as our own Sports Medicine Facility with full-time certified athletic trainers, we’ll work with you to ensure that the experience you receive is best suited to your future goals in athletic training.
